Carlos was born and raised in Mexico City. His musical journey started at 8 years old as a drummer. The influences of African Beats, Trance, Ambient, Dub
and Pop
are
brought together seamlessly in his style.
Passionate for sound, he graduated in 1992, with a degree in Music Production and Recording Engineering at Trebas Institute of Recordings Arts in California. His further research has led him into the field of music therapy including techniques such as: Music thru colors, Rhythmic medicine,
and Vibrational music for the
Chakras. |

He
has composed several soundtracks for Films, documentaries, plays and
choreographies such as:
“Crossover”
(Showtime), “Ex Voto” (AFI), “Lacam Tum” (BBC), “Eternal
Mexico” (INHA), and more. On two occasions, he has had the opportunity to co-produce and compose music for the solstice
Festival
performed by a full orchestra surrounded by the magnetic forces of the
pyramids of Tajin, Mexico.

Carlos is a two-time Emmy Award winner, and is a well known sound engineer on the West Coast. He has worked with a wide variety of artists such as: Bjork, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Bowie, Bob Dylan, Sugar Ray, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Deep forest, and many more.

He has just finished recording his first album ”Love pass filter” with co-producer Rosana Costello and 13 talented world musicians. The result is an exquisite combination of chilled out healing music full of ethnic melodies, empowering lyrics, and tribal beats.
